The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! The Oscar’s Red Carpet was filled with a softer old Hollywood glam that left me speechless.
But did anyone else notice a few stars missing? One I was truly excited for and extremely disappointed to not see was Jennifer Lawrence. She was always a stunner in Dior. Not to mention, a lot less photo bombing done without her.
However, other stars like Emma Stone and Reese Witherspoon shined in the spotlight, making me want to go gown shopping ASAP. Anyone with me??
Ok, chitchat aside, here are the best dressed, worst dressed and best hair/makeup of the Oscars 2015.
Rosamund Pike in Givenchy – From worst dressed straight to best dressed of all the Red Carpets this year. What a stunner! There is no way to go wrong in this amazing Givenchy gown and Rosamund Pike is looking sexier than ever in it. A+++++
Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent – You know those women who were just born effortlessly sexy? That’s Margot Robbie. She has a sex appeal no one else can replicate. I honestly can’t think of anyone else who can throw on this gown and look as put together and effortless as her.
Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford- Such a classic beauty. Reese never misses the mark and she reminded us of that tonight.
Meryl Streep in Lanvin – Perfection does exist. Meryl looks beautiful and powerful. She can do no wrong.
Emma Stone in Elie Saab – Best dressed after best dressed. I’m so glad Emma Stone found her style. She has been killing the red carpet for a while now. Don’t believe me? Check out all my other reviews for this year’s award season.
Lupita Nyong’o in Calvin Klein – The fact that this entire dress was made out of 6,000 pearls deserves an award of its own.
Jennifer Hudson in Romona Keveza – Yellow is a tough color to pull off, but can we all agree it’s the perfect color for her? This classic look was a stunner and hugged her body in all the right places.
Chrissy Teigan in Zuhair Murad- Legs for days! This hottie has not disappointed yet and I don’t think she will anytime soon.
Lorelei Linklater in Gabriela Cadena- I actually really love this dress. It’s interesting and extremely flattering. Couldn’t take my eyes off of her. I love that she went for something different from what everyone else was wearing tonight.
Kelly Ripa in Christian Siriano – Amazing! This is breathtaking. The details, the pockets, the shape! I mean I can’t find a single thing I would change in this overall look. You go, Kelly!
Bianca Blanco – Seriously, what am I witnessing right now? There is just too much going on right now. The dress is so loud and the hair is so big. No, no, no.
Scarlett Johansson in Versace – There is no denying Scarlett Johansson is a sexy woman. And there is no denying that she can pull off this hair (look up her latest photos), but something happened here that isn’t right. The dress itself isn’t bad and, in fact, it shows off her insane body. But the necklace completely ruins it and all the focus went straight to her neckline. The way her hair was style also didn’t help her out too much. Overall, this is not her best look.
Kiera Knightley in Valentino- Kiera Knightley is not new to this category. I understand this is her style, and I commend her for showing it off, but the dress itself isn’t flattering. This gown almost looks like it’s pulling her down and the color is too close to her skin tone.
Lady Gaga in Azzedine Alaia – She could’ve gotten it right, but those serial killer butcher gloves are really throwing me off. She looks gorgeous and I know it’s just Gaga being Gaga, but in all fairness, she could’ve at least gone for a shorter glove.
Julianne Moore in Chanel – This woman is hot, hot, hot! She is usually in the best dressed category, but she really missed it this time. This Chanel gown looks like a sack on her and this color is just not right. Maybe next time.
